Table of Vaccination for Children and Adolescents in Thailand 2024 Recommended by the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of Thailand.
In 2024, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of Thailand (PIDST) revised and augmented certain vaccination guidelines.
Key updates include:
- Add recommendations for the administration of Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV).
- Expanded recommendations for the administration of Inactivated Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccine, alongside other vaccines that may administered as supplementary or replacement options, administered in 3 doses, starting from 6 months of age, with subsequent doses administered at intervals of 1-4 weeks and 1 year.
Additionally, recommendations are provided for the prevention of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) caused by Enterovirus 71. Vaccination is advised starting from 6 months of age, with a 2-dose regimen spaced 1 month apart, aiming to mitigate severe complications and other serious conditions.
Furthermore, the pre-exposure rabies vaccination protocol remains unchanged, with just 2 doses administered at least 7 days apart.
